Keep it simple stupid.

In a market of business voip service providers boasting arsenals of features that mean absolutely nothing to the majority of small business owners, simplicity is severely overlooked. The "buzz words" such as web gui and find me/follow me are what the VoIP providers are focusing on, however these features are merely toys when compared to true PBX phone system features that businesses are used to relying on.

Most small businesses are used to phones that are very easy to use. You press line 1 for line 1, you have light displays that show which extensions are busy, and everything is one touch. Most VoIP service providers do not keep it simple. The key is to be able to do everything on your telephone, with one touch ease. Most small business owners don't have time to launch a web application that requires attention to pointing and clicking on a computer screen to manage your office phone systems. Yet you see every VoIP service provider touting this as a break through that will revolutionize your company.

The problem lies in the fact that most VoIP service providers don't know what they're doing and they don't know what small businesses want out of their business phones. They proceed to bombard the market with buzz word features that actually deny fundamental businesses phone system features they've been used to for years. Fortunately, we know all of this already, and we're here to keep things simple and make things clear. VoIP can be used to make things very easy on businesses and that's what the main focus should be. Does your VoIP provider believe this to be true? Does your VoIP phone system make things a whole lot easier for your business?
